The Wartillerist, a DnD 5e Artificer/Wizard Build
The Artificer class gets some cool tools that make it fun to play, but as shown in my prior Battle Smith Build, it can struggle at higher levels of play without multiclassing. This can be addressed by jumping out of the class for a full casting class at key levels. If a player were to take Artificer up to Level 6 and continue with Wizard from there, they would still be able to make a lot of use of cool Artificer abilities like the Pipes of Haunting and Homunculus Servant. while making use of the amazing Wizard spell list.

The Sharpshooting Operator, a DnD 5e Artificer Build
One of the reasons I wanted to make this blog was to fill in the gap of the optimization community’s lack of solid Artificer builds. The folks at Tabletop Builds have a solid straight-classed Artillerist build, which I’ll take a bit of advice from, and I hope to complement that with a straight-classed Battle Smith build.

A Guide to the Artificer, the Worst Best Class of DnD 5e
Artificer is a class that gives everyone I’ve seen play it an expression that I could only describe as a mixture of confusion and disappointment. The spell list lacks iconic and easy-to-use blast spells like Magic Missile or Fireball, the class and subclass features are not always intuitive on how they should best be used, and the half-casting chassis makes progression slow and uneventful.

Why I Made This Website
Finding good optimization content for Dungeons and Dragons online is hard. There are some great blogs out there for sure, but the dream of an extensive collection of worthwhile content that covers the majority of the game at your fingertips is still a ways away.
